Please select the appropriate membership type.  By registering as a member you will be added to the CRANE mailing list:

  • CRANE full member: Open to individuals that conduct research and who are employed by a UKRI research-funding eligible organisation.
  • CRANE associate member: Please select this option if either the following applies to you:
    (a) Individuals that conduct research but work outside of a UKRI research-funding eligible organisation (e.g. industry, government, public bodies, NGOs, overseas academics)
    (b) Individuals that support, or enable research but do not conduct research in their role

Please select the option(s) below to join the membership mailing list for our Special Interest or Working Groups. Please note: In joining a mailing list you give consent for your name and email address to be shared with the main SIG/WG contacts indicated on their websites (linked to below):

  • Research Practices:  This group will develop an ethics approach for CRANE, inform ongoing activity, and develop a library of guidance
  • Inclusive Careers: A space where we can come together to discuss how to make cyber security research career development and opportunities accessible to everyone
  • SIG-SANE: will address emerging security, privacy, and accountability challenges in next-generation intelligent networked systems
  • Economics of Cyber Security: will explore the economic dimensions that underpin Cyber Security in society, organisations and digital markets
  • Safe and Secure Robotics: will establish a UK-wide community dedicated to advancing safe, privacy-aware, and secure autonomous robotic systems in human-centred domains
  • AI-Cyber:  Aims to strengthen the UK's capability in the fast-evolving domain where Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security converge.
  • Learned Society Formation Group: Contribute to and receive updates on the formation of a Learned Society
